Worum geht es in Ivanhoe?
Während die Rückkehr von König Richard Löwenherz aus dem Heiligen Land in österreichischen Kerkern endet, erlebt der junge Kreuzritter Wilfred von Ivanhoe eine böse Überraschung, als er das heimische Gut erreicht. Er wurde als Verräter des Königs denunziert, sein Vater hat ihn verbannt und seine große Liebe Rowena ist einem anderen versprochen. Auch um das Königreich steht es nicht gut, denn Richards Bruder Prinz John regiert mit grausamer Hand.

She sends her father to find Ivanhoe to fight for her. Athelstane appears at his own funeral which jeopardises Rowena and Ivanhoe's wedding plans. King Richard has returned to claim the throne off John and Queen Eleanor has to try and resolve their differences.
