¿De qué trata Kurokami The Animation?
La historia de Kurokami (El Dios Negro) trata de un programador de videojuegos de nombre Keita Ibuki. Éste se encuentra con una chica de nombre Kuro que resulta ser un Mototsumitama , seres divinos encargados de mantener el equilibrio de la existencia. Mientras cuidaba de ella, son atacados. A causa del ataque Keita pierde un brazo que es regenerado por Kuro más tarde al intercambiarlo por su propio brazo; así se que creó un lazo entre ambos. Kuro parece saber la razón por la que murió la madre de Keita cuando éste era pequeño. ¿Qué son los doppelganger de los que habla Kuro? ¿Y qué relación tienen con la muerte de la madre de Keita?

A recap of events that occurred between episodes one through twenty two, mostly from Kuro's point-of-view. In the present, after the destruction of the doppeliner system, Akane is getting married to Keita, and thanks Kuro for allowing them to reach that point. Several decades later, Kuro receives a telepathic message from a very old Keita, despite isolating herself in the Holy Land. Keita tells Kuro that he will be taking "their curse" with him, and thanks her for everything she did for him and that he lived a life of happiness. After delivering his message, Keita dies just before his grandchildren come to get him for dinner. Relieved that Keita was truly happy, Kuro cries and tells her beloved contractee to rest in peace.
