Di cosa parla Mobile Suit Gundam SEED?
C.E. (Cosmic Era) 70.02.11 Lo scontro tra l'Alleanza Terrestre (Naturals) e Zaft (Coordinators), originata da contrasti economici, ha raggiunto una situazione critica. Infine, i due contendenti hanno optato per l'ultima risorsa della diplomazia: in altre parole, la guerra. La nostra storia inizia circa un anno dopo. Heliopolis, un satellite appartenente ad una nazione neutrale, viene improvvisamente attaccato dai Mobile Suit dell'esercito di Zaft. L'obiettivo è distruggere i nuovi Mobile Suit "Gundam" dell'Alleanza Terrestre, costruiti in totale segretezza. Il raid ha successo, e Zaft cattura quattro Gundam. Kira Yamato, studente in un college industriale, viene coinvolto nel conflitto quando ritrova il suo vecchio amico Aslan Zara. Tragicamente, Kira scopre che il suo compagno Aslan e gli altri Coordinators sono diventati suoi nemici. Per amor di patriottismo, Kira decide di sconfiggere Aslan. Uno contro quattro... la battaglia dei Gundam inizia!

Kira in the Strike Freedom is confronted by Rey in the Legend. Meanwhile, Athrun in the Infinite Justice battles Lunamaria in the Impulse and Shinn in the Destiny. Requiem is destroyed in a joint effort of the Infinite Justice and Mu in the Akatsuki. The combined efforts of the Archangel and the Infinite Justice, damage the Minerva, causing it to crash onto the Moon. Durandal and Kira confront each other in the collapsing Messiah. Durandal is shot by Rey, and Captain Gladys orders Kira to leave as she, Rey and Durandal are killed when the Messiah falls to the Moon surface. The Second Bloody Valentine War ends.
