Waar gaat Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood over?
De zomer van 1969. Rick Dalton, een acteur op zijn retour, voelt aan dat zijn dagen als leading man in tv-westerns stilaan geteld zijn. Hij vindt troost bij zijn rechterhand en stuntman, Cliff Booth genaamd, die tevens zijn chauffeur en klusjesman is.
